I'm Devin Osborne.
I've spent my career building software and systems for bigger companies. OX is me bringing that home: the same kind of thinking, sized for the restaurants, shops, clinics and crews that make Birmingham what it is. I also help good businesses get found: a Google listing that's right, reviews that keep coming in, and posting you can keep up.
Why “OX”?
People ask. It's short for Osborne X, and both halves mean something to me.
The X
In math, X is the thing you're trying to solve for. Every business has one: the problem you can feel but can't quite name. Finding it is my favorite part.
It's also Chi, Χ, the old Greek letter early Christians used for Christ. That's where my own story starts.
The ox
The workhorse that carries the load. Two oxen under one yoke pull together, and that's how I want to work with you: alongside, sharing the weight.

How I work
- I'll tell you plainly. If you don't need me, or a cheaper tool will do, I'll say so.
- Clear, predictable pricing. Most work has a set price up front. When a job is better billed by the hour, you'll know the rate and a realistic estimate before we start.
- You get me. No account managers, no handoff to a junior. I do the work.
- You own it. Every account, login and line of code is yours when we're done.
Bigger operation?
Some teams need more than one project. As a fractional partner, I join you part-time as your product and tech lead for a monthly fee: setting priorities, keeping vendors honest and building what matters, without the cost of a full-time hire.
